Nope. Just pointing out that the survey could be misleading as per OP conclusions.
It could have nothing to do with political persuasions at all. Just pointing that out.

Isn’t the point that the survey results were given by these people, who all happen to be members of the same Political Party?

I’m sure they have other similarities, like location/age/sex/sexuality but I’m pretty sure they weren’t the reasons they were selected to take part in the survey.

I don’t want to get into the same whataboutery method but, as someone who has rightfully posted about racism being abhorrent when discussing accusations of antisemitism against Labour members, you appear to be skirting around the answers presented.

I’ve just looked again at the actual spread of those who responded to the survey.  Which specific demographic are you referencing, as there appears to be quite a wide range?

You just don't get it do you, you silly boy!

The Left, Labour and it's members/supporters have spiteful, destructive and damaging biases and prejudices against anyone or anything that doesn't agree or fit with their beliefs.

The Right, Tories and it's members/supporters have no real biases and represent the normal, sensible and reasonable majority of our society. They by no means sit idly by and let they nonsense and hysterical socialist propaganda and agendas slide, it's just that their arguments, ideas and calls to restrict some behaviours, beliefs and practices are just common sense and a perfectly rational and reasoned response to protect our freedoms, liberties and way of life.

The simple rules are:

If the left think someone is bad, but the right think it is good, it is good and the left is just showing their biases towards trampling our freedoms and liberty.
If the left think someone is good, but the right think it's bad, it's bad and the left is just showing their biases towards forcing their evil and dangerous notions on us.

If you don't agree, you are a socialist!(see the offspring of Stalin and Hitler)

I’ve just seen this post, which I hadn’t seen previously and I’m a little confused.  You say that we, “must not have one single definition covering Islam or a single religion as though it’s special” but what is Anti-Semitism if not a definition covering a single religion/race that is legally enforced, and you have previously posted in support of?

What else would you suggest? Islamism's already taken by another bunch.
Don't see the obstacle myself, seeing as etymologically, the precedent was already successfully set with homophobia (of course one member vehemently disagrees about that).

Ok, so give it another name, then suggest what the difference is between the two, and why giving a definition for one makes it ‘special’?

Would you say that Yazidis are Islamophobic and unjustified in their fear?

Or the many other examples out there where people are fearful for good reasons.

I just think its problematic.

Surely that’s the point of a definition? If a specific group is deliberately targeting another specific group due to their beliefs etc then those being targeted are pretty likely to not like them.  Using your reasoning, would Palestinians, who felt that they were in fear for their lives, be anti-Semitic or would they be justified?

Having an irrational hate towards a specific group because of the their religious beliefs should be stopped, very much like anti-semitism.

However, this isn’t a thread about anti-semitism, it’s about Conservative member feelings towards people of Islam faith.
