That's how I feel about being adopted - I was privileged to be chosen by parents who definately wanted me ... enough to do so even though I was not their biological child.
It gives me one thing I can be absolutely certain off, that for my Mum and Dad, I was someone they struggled and jumped through hoops to get into their lives.

In Primary School we wouldn't necessarily teach about that week in, week out. It would be a unit of 6 weeks of lessons once or twice a year. With the core British Values behind it being an ongoing thing throughout the year.
