What part of Khan is in a position to actually put more police on the streets and Boris is not, do you not understand?

Again, I’m not talking about anyone actually implementing anything.  I’m making it very simple and just looking at what both men have said is required to tackle violent crime in London.

Which part of, they’re both saying the same thing, do you not understand?

It's not difficult.

- Khan has asked the government for additional funds to put more police on the streets.
- Boris has said he that he agrees that additional funds are needed to put more police on the streets.

People have criticised Khan for blaming funding as being the issue.
If Boris (who used to be mayor) agrees with Khan, do believe Boris should be criticised for having the same view as Khan?

Again, one is in a position to make difference and to have an effect and has failed to deliver on that promise , it has become worse in fact .

The other has nothing to offer but kind words and the promises as PM that Khan made going for Mayor and failed to deliver .

I would just walk away as it's a pointless waste of your effort and time .

People will always be selective based on their chosen tribe and will fight you till the end . I'm yet to see anyone agree or change stance once their stall is layed out  on here or in real life .

Politics is much like supporting a  football team in many ways for many .

If you look at my post #12 you will see that I have said police numbers would help. But Khan, who is in charge does not seem to have a plan. What is he going to do with the extra police? His policy on stop and search needs to be clear- or even for or against might be helpful! If you are in charge and need more resources, you need to justify them with your plan to tackle knife crime.
As for different responses to Boris and Khan, of course We are going to be more critical of Khan because we expect details. He is in the hot seat.
Let’s hope that if Boris does not suffer from spontaneous human combustion, after reviewing Khans plans he will authorise the funds.

Khan has published his plans to government already when asking for additional funding, so it's not clear why you keep bringing up he has no plan?

You keep avoiding the fact that Khan could put more police on the streets if he so wished - Boris can not.

I wonder why?

Edit: seems that the first thing that needs to be done to tackle violent crime in London is get rid of Khan.

He’s openly called for more funding, as has the Home Secretary, and now Boris Johnson.  The only difference here seems to be that you reject the idea when Khan suggests it but support it when Johnson does.  I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy.

No hypocrisy at all - as has been pointed out (several times) if Khan wants more funding for the police he is in exactly the right place to provide it.

Boris can only talk however.
