Did you spot the mistake in the superman comic? They switched the speech bubbles of the two helicopters speaking - the police are telling the press to move away, but the police speech is coming from the copter marked 'press'.
I can see why they did the reboot but for the comics I read its not been a huge issue and nothing that could not have been accomplished with a couple of issues of explanation (Dick going back to Nightwing etc) and maybe an arc similar to the one Bruce went through after his broken back to explain Barbara.
I imagine that within 6 months many of the non core titles will be a mess and a mighty crossover will exist ( Who is the DCU's Mystery Woman? - Comics Feature at IGN ) - DC without Batman would be well and truly up he creek I think
I use Economic Comics for my regular stuff. Just sign up and choose what you want to subscribe to from their search list. For everything else I use Forbidden Planet but their delivery times aren't always brilliant.
I am using Economic as well. Someone, Newman? recommended them, and I have been with them a month, but very happy. For Bricks and Mortar shops, FP and Orbital (Leciester Square tube station).
Superman
Superman: Action Comics
Teen Titans
Batman Dark Knight
So far Dark Knight & Teen Titans are very good & I'll be continuing the series with them.
The Superman titles on the other hand were pretty poor.
Both just didn't live up to expectation.
Superman especially was terrible...way too talky & not nearly enough going on to make it interesting I got bored half way through & didn't finish it.
I've ordered a lot of the other titles & I'm especially looking forward to the Lantern titles I've got really into the character over the last few months & I'm excited about what they do with the new reboot.
I'm using a mixture for my comics...Forbidden Planet.com & my local comic shop
Local has my subscriptions now as I cancelled them elsewhere...cheaper locally & I want to support him as he's been really good over the last 20 years that I've been using him so would be a huge shame to see him fail now.
Thanks guys. We have a pretty good comic store called Red Sun (I think) that opened up in my town so will go and check them this weekend. Anything I can't find there I will go online for.
I am all for cashing in and getting rid of some of my doubles I am afraid.
I started picking up the Excellent Batman & Robin from about 3 years ago, and got loads of issues far cheaper than the #1 Batman & Robin released in the DCU, which (based on only 1 issue) is not as good as the first B&R isue 1 from that series.
