Read these endlessly back in the day (mid 80's), got a digital copy of them now and have started all over again. A very underrated series, may go and read them again even though it's less than a year since last read.

All this talk about Boaty McBoatface makes me pine for Iain M. Banks and his hilarious Culture ship names. Pretty much all of his sci-fi is on my top read list.

Not many books I give up on but I had to give up on Way of the Shadows before I hit page 100.

I would not say that I actually highly recommend it for the wastepaper bag.

I think there were too many characters and plot lines which I don't usualy like but depends on the author how they handle them. See review of one that did it OK below.

I finished one about 5 week ago called The Camel Club which had 4 members (who are conspiracy theorist(the name is nothing to do with camel animals or cigarettes all explained at the end of the book)) of the club, someone in the secret service and someone in the Justice Department then you had the all the villains but David Baldacci manages in this book to keep it all follow-able and some great twist and a good plot 5/5

Wiki Plots synopsis.
After witnessing a shocking murder, the Club is slammed headfirst into a plot that threatens the very security of the nation, full of stunning twists, high-stakes intrigue, and global gamesmanship rocketing to the Oval Office and beyond. It's an event that may well be the catalyst for a long-threatened Armageddon, and all that stands in the way of this apocalypse are these unexpected heroes.

Don't tell me about the Camel Club, read most of DB books, easy read and mostly entertaining.

The Martian for me... I read it before the film came out and so got the full book effect rather than having it tainted by the film adaptation.

Whilst not strictly the best book I've ever read, Charles Bronson: The Good Prison Guide is a decent read actually. A good insight in to the guy who has become known as the most notorious prisoner in the UK.

I read a lot of his but the last one I read of his was poor, Split Second, I was enjoying it the the last 150-100 pages and then it went too convaluted and a silly set up at the Will Robie series I really enjoyed The Hit was one of the top books I read last year, just have The Guilty to go in his series.
I did not over rate his John Puller first in that series but already have bought the next 2.hotel wher the villain stged the final scene with the cutouts of the audiance.

If you like Davids Will Robie series have you read any Scott Mariani books with his char Ben Hope? I like Ben's attitude on getting rid of a body which was something like this of some one who is part of a team killing a lot of innocent people and trying to get the body into a trunk. I had to break his legs to get him into the trunk, I did not like doing that to his dead body, I would have preferred to do it whilst he was still alive.

Since 2013 I have been very choosy about buying books as I was given over 10000 books on a hard drive, been sorting them out and reading off of that.
So not read any of DB after 2013
