I have asthma, so I ended up getting a prescription so the pharmacy prescription was still on the box, and put it in my hand luggage, they didn't ask about it though when I declared it, some medicine is banned over there (vicks is a good example!) so just have a look online.

Well we've bitten the bullet and bought the flights - heading over at the end of March for Easter.
Flying into Osaka for a couple of days then a couple of nights booked at the Kyoto Tower Hotel.
We're planning on heading down to Hiroshima then back to Tokyo and flying from there.

We're a couple   14 yr old and I'm struggling a bit with finding "family rooms" - any hints or tips esp. for Tokyo about where to stay and how much to pay?

Do you want quiet or vibrant area to stay in? With regards to how much to pay most hotels over there are clean as hell and you are paying for extra luxurious/space. What date do you land at Osaka?

Vibrant I guess?
We won’t be doing too much in the evenings with a 14yr old in tow but a nice dinner out and some sights to see would be cool.
We arrive in Osaka on Friday 30th of March.
Kyoto is booked 1-4th.
