My '58 plate GTi came with Pirelli P Zero Rosso 225/40 18 all round (IIRC).
I couldn't find them last time so I fitted Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on the back.
No complaints about them but nothing to rave about. I don't take the car to the track and I drive briskly but not like a rally driver on the road.
Last year I fitted Michelin Cross Climate on our Mini in case we got snow as I have an 8 mile cross country school run. The weather in East Anglia was mild and never saw snow, they were fine in the wet and cold though and were a massive ride improvement over the Bridgestone runflats.
Now I need new fronts again for the GTi and I have a choice.
