Bit stingy of the dealer to argue about the key when it doesn't sound like they are arguing about returning the car. Sounds a bit like left/right arm not knowing what they are doing. It wouldn't surprise me if it comes down to how they are organised and whose budget is paying for what.
Eitherway you shouldn't be out of pocket, when returning for a full refund. Quick question to clarify;
1. Was the car bought on finance?
2. Was the key bought in a separate financial transaction from the dealers parts/service team?
I would get it confirmed that the vehicle is rejected and a refund will be processed. Then when they don't refund the key amount pursue that after. Get the big picture sorted first. |
