I used to do my own pads and disks etc. But work on the theory that if I can get a good garage, reasonable prices and good workpersonship then why muck around on jacks and axle stands with skinned knuckles and finicky nuts and bolts.
Problem is, unless you are used to it, you find that a breaker bar is a god sent but you do not have one, the spare disk has no locking washers or split pins for the various re fitting arrangements, grease you have is wrong, you notice that perhaps the bearing might need doing seeing as it is all in bits...... |
