The two places I tend to see rare cars are either at the British Grand Prix, or in Jersey
The Grand Prix usually has a wide variety of nice motors, I guess some people take it as an opportunity to show off! You see a lot of Brabus and Alpina and other cars of that sort. Also saw a very unusual Clio a year or two ago, unusual in the regard that it was Fisichella's A Carrera GT shot past us in a blur on the way there last year, many people tried to keep up with it... and failed!
Jersey's motorists on the other hand are quite, quite mad. On an island nine miles by five, with a top speed of 40, there's an astonishing amount of performance cars. There's tons of Astons, Bentleys, Ferrari's and all that sort. Even saw a Maybach there, which would probably need to go onto the beach to turn Saw an R8 there too, before launch I think, scooting about with no plates. |
