Seen a local Colchester Council owned car with the plate F1 about for years. Recently sold for a world record amount. Cant remember the car it was on, that says it all!
I recently seen a new 2-tone silver and black Rolls with the number V1 NYL. I guessed it was either a record producer or a very wealthy DJ.

I remember seeing another Rolls parked up at the door of the Cartlon Hotel in Cannes with the reg plate BH 1. I've always hoped it was Benny Hill's.
I actually do have a really nice plate but it's my surname. A friend of mine has/had P40 LDJ - looks like "PAUL DJ" and (you guessed it) he had the dodgy coloured screws to help him out.
Used to get pulled by the police regularly (and quite rightly so)
He had that much attention that he removed it from his car and placed it on retention. Tells me he's going to try and sell it...
That's his own silly fault.
I have illegal spacing on my private plate.
Nothing else is illegal, it's all proper font/style/size etc.
Been up and down the country with it, never been pulled.
