A few years ago me and the girlfriend followed a car into Hadlow,  Kent that had the plate BMX 80Y.
As you do and as a biker I stopped and asked the old gentleman if he was interested in selling the ancient Renault (sure it was a Renault) but just got a smile and no sale reply

Saw a Saab around Stafford with the plate S44B SS which fits perfectly.

Saw a nearly quality plate yesterday. Was followed by an Impreza P1 with the plate 'P1 VRC'. I assume he'd looked for 'P1 WRC' but it wasn't available

Saw an Audi A3 convertible today with "Y11KES".

Exactly my thoughts when I saw Audi had taken a tin opener to the A3 a couple of years ago.

I Saw an MX5 round my way with what I thought was a quite apt number plate considering the recent state of the economy, it was : RJ08 CUT, to me that says "job cut".

Saw a Dodge 4x4 (forgot the name) with the number plate HE58 ACK but spaced to read HE5 8ACK which was quite cool.
