This is a great show to watch with kids who are old enough to handle ghosts.
The wee ones will like the colors, the action, and the music; while their more grown up counterparts will enjoy the voice talent and the cool effects.
It's no more scary than Scooby Doo and a lot more hip. I've always preferred the reluctant superheroes, and Danny fits that bill. He's also a teenager trying to make his way through High School and get along with a very funky family. The theme song is really catchy, too. Having worked for Disney Feature Animation for 5 years I can be a bit of a snob about 'toons; this one is already a favorite. It's definitely tricky to find shows I can watch with my four year old nephew and enjoy myself. I'm psyched for Danny Phantom so we can see something together that doesn't bore me or cause those awkward questions like The Simpsons or South Park.
