As the sun begins to fade, Cook and Root are still at the helm, nearing a 250-run partnership.

And it's Lyth!

Carnage at Headingley in the T20 Blast. Adam Lyth has smashed 134 from 62 balls so far with Yorkshire on 225-1. The highest T20 score ever is 263 by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. In the end, they fell just short at 260-4.

What a terrible mismatch that Test was. Sad to see how far the Windies have fallen.

Went to the second day, the most uninspiring day out at the cricket I've ever experienced.

Hi,

It is extremely sad to see what has happened to the WI cricket - they use to be an almost invincible force at one time. Imho, the demise of WI cricket is purely down to the pure corrupt & power hungry nature of the WCB.

Suave!

Did think it was a poor declaration from Root yesterday, too early and not protecting the draw. After the WI first innings, a target of little more than 300 in one day is well within the tourists and so it's proving, currently 114-2 close to lunch.

Third Test @Lords: W Indies 18/1

"A rather frisky looking tractor, pulling a white tarpaulin"

"Oh look, I've just seen a purple umbrella - never seen a purple umbrella before"

Not unexpected but I just can't imagine cricket commentary, TMS, ever being the same without Blowers.

It's both baffling and frustrating when you think of the batters, if they were just more positive then England might not have been in the crater they found themselves in. We are now indebted, once again, to a cavalier Broad-sword, 38no currently and even Jimmy is chipping in. The last men standing on the sunken treasure have pushed the lead to seventy-odd which may or may not be invaluable.

Lucky slogging but I think the 60 odd runs the last two pairs put on will be the difference. Expect England to win it tomorrow.

You were so right. Somehow we got out of that one, thanks largely to Jimmy.

Still not convinced about the top five for Australia and in this test our fielders often couldn't catch a cold.

Don't think England have got any chance in Australia. Only 3 reliable batsman in the top 6, plus they've got a better spinner than we have. Bairstow and Moeen are wasted at 7 and 8.

Think it will take Root and Stokes to have the series of their lives if England are to win.
