As a fan of the Written series, I have to say that I awaited the TV SCI-FI show hoping for something close...and this missed by a mile. Yes, there are similar names, but the Author must have been paid quite a bit to completely turn away and allow his characters to be so completely reworked. I had hoped at the best, that this would be similar to the Dexter series, in that the books are followed well enough that we could enjoy seeing the characters actually work through what we could have only imagined. At the least, it could have been a fantastic series of sub-plot mini story lines that filled in between the books events...sorry, it was neither. I seriously doubt that the shows writers ever cracked a binding, and I am completely disappointed.
