Drew and Jonathan Scott are the "Property Brothers". Though we never know exactly what happens off-camera, the concept involves the brothers convincing couples to renovate homes rather than buying new homes. Personally, I like that idea, because it seems wasteful on a macro level to dispose of older homes and develop more undeveloped land.
The brothers stress that they can renovate a house to meet the buyers' dreams of their ideal home. Furthermore, they can personalize the design and décor to the particular tastes of their "clients".
One brother handles the real estate transactions and the other supervises the actual renovation, including design. The couples who put themselves in their hands seem happy with the results. Besides the public's fascination with real estate renovation, the show leans heavily on the likability of the brothers, who seem to enjoy working together, though they indulge in healthy competition.
