Cheesy, unbelievable story with the most hammy acting and bad accents I've ever heard. Blair is portrayed as dizzy and disorganised but really her character is just annoyingly incompetent. The Earl (whom Blair incorrectly keeps addressing as Your Grace) has the worst posh English accent ever, when in fact he's supposed to be Scottish and the rest of his family have a Scottish accent. And to ensure that the watcher knows the relationships, the Earl and his brother constantly reinforce this by calling each other 'brother', rather than by name.
Despite living in a castle, visiting the best establishments to procure all the best things for his forthcoming Christmas ball, he drives a 68 plate small family SUV and dresses like a student. In fact I don't think this would even pass as a budget student-made movie!
I only gave up 1hr and 24 mins to watch it all through because it was soooo bad and I had to keep pointing out all the inaccuracies and nonsense!
