Much better than the original cartoon series

The concept of robots turning into organic lifeforms is (in my opinion) absurd, but I can tolerate it.  I think the new "Transmetal" (mechanized animals) incarnation of the "Beast Wars" characters is much better.

The quality of the "Beast Wars" cartoon is far superior to that of the original "Transformers" and most other cartoon series.  The animation is excellent, the character development is (for a few of them at least) indepth and the story lines are superb.  Episodes such as "Code of Hero" and "The Agenda" parts 1,2 & 3 are examples.

The complaints I have with "Beast Wars" are minor but worth mentioning. Most of the Predacons (the evil faction) are two-dimensional psychotics who have no depth to their characters.  The slap-stick comedy is sometimes overused, but it is amusing.

I hope that Mainframe continue to produce future "Transformers" movies and cartoon series, because the quality of their work is unmatched.
