I saw a CI for the first time the other night. The episode I saw was Nicole Wallace's first appearance.
Straight away, I liked the series. Robert Goren is much more interesting character than Elliot Stabler or Lenny Briscoe/Ed Green, and Vincent D'Onofrio's moments of comedy and quirky personality make the character even more likable. The stories are always compelling, and the criminal perspective Goren takes, as well as his seemingly endless knowledge, drew me in even more.
The only gripe I have with the series is that ADA Carver isn't a patch on ADA Casey Novak or ADA Carmichael in Law & Order.
