In recent memory, Bruce Timm and co. really did their best to make an engaging series based on the Green Lantern and their legacy. They succeeded where the Hollywood movie failed, but with the latter dragging this masterpiece down with it.
It's not the most frustrating cliffhanger end I've expirienced, but still sad that the epic adventures of Hal Jordan, Kilowog, Razer and the rest could go from there.
It makes me sad, because with the amount of care put into crafting an epic sci-fi adventure but still making it relatable with themes and conflicts revolving around self-respect, love, duty and trust with brilliant voice acting, you can't get enough of it and the 26 episodes just go by so fast.
And thank god it's not only doom and gloom heavy stuff all the time, because every character delivers good lines of witty humour in a satisfying amount which doesn't feel out of place or forced. Hal Jordan's easy-going personality is well balanced with his sense of duty while Razer and Kilowog are more in the sarcastic category. And then we have Guy Gardner who is so full of himself that it drives others crazy, but it works perfectly.
Everything is worth praising.
