I would think if the replacement car comes with both keys (or the dealer agrees to supply a second) the OP is happy to return the extra key with no issue.

Being a defender TD5 owner all the symptoms described seem pretty normal for a landy LOL .  Oil leaks are great at rust prevention and make nice patterns on my driveway.   Just wait for the electrics to start playing up @rodd1000  , btw which Landy is it you have bought?
