There were so many powerful, sometimes overwhelming, scenes. And I saw women I know, including myself, throughout...

These are not complete stories. They are snapshots of the experiences that add to each woman's life story. What this story does an excellent job of doing is illustrating how we make decisions about our lives based on situations- including considering suicide.

I agree with other reviewers that there was some overacting, but overall this was a great movie. I disagree with those who think the poems/soliloquies didn't flow with the rest of the writing or that they were irrelevant to the situations being portrayed. I felt the poems offered a glimpse into the psyches of the characters, which added to the intensity; how often have we wondered what characters were thinking/feeling while watching the drama unfold?

Someone else questioned the time period/setting, and another poster commented that there were no cell phones. However, Kelly (Kerri Washington) called into the DSS office on her cell, and Carl (Omari Hardwick) said his phone battery died.

score 8/10
