Wasn't as great as I was hoping

This mini-series was enjoyable, but I too like so many before me thought that Zooey's acting was pretty bland. Sometimes it sounded as if she was reading off of cue cards, but then again, maybe that is how the director wanted her to sound? I thought she was pretty good as the crazy room mate in Failure to Launch, but anywho...

I thought the evil sorceress Az did a wonderful job, she definitely acted evil. The tin man was probably the best character, he was the only one who you actually really got to know.

I was severely disappointed with the ending. The evil witch being destroyed by the sisters holding hands! Also with the everything is peachy again group hug and watching the eclipse on the balcony family "togetherness". I was expecting something else to happen, but the credits started to roll, oh well it could have been worse (or could it?) I do take some offense to honyltd from United States comments stating that "It seems only those who demographically fit in the 17-25 year-old category find this bearable". I happen to not be in that demographic and I did find it bearable (I am 27). I believe it in very poor taste to imply that anyone who could look past monotone speech probably is monotone themselves. I happen to NOT be monotone and am able to look past someones speech flaws and see the point they are trying to make (albeit it is a little boring and doesn't necessarily "capture" me). honyltd also states "Anyone with a vestige of taste or movie acumen detests this movie." Wow, this person is a mind reader now. I believe that everyone has their own tastes in movies & what one person likes another may not (for example this movie or say Blair Witch Project-which I absolutely hate with a passion, but another person may love it-I don't personally attack the person). You can put a hundred different people in a room and give them a list of a hundred different movies and not one movie is going to have 100 fans! Just because you don't like movie doesn't necessarily mean that everyone should dislike it. If you don't like it fine, I'm not going to force you to, but don't degrade others just because they like a movie.

I believe that if you are going to comment on the movie, do that, don't attack the individuals who enjoyed it just because they happen to like something you don't. It shows bad character to believe that everyone should like the movies you like and dislike the ones you dislike. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, let them have it. Sorry if I rambled.
