I can not believe what I'm reading here! I know people have very different tastes, but this movie is really entertaining despite it is a TV movie. It semi-reminds me of Merlin type of movies. I really enjoyed Merlin except special effect wise it surpassed it, and I think it very enjoyable. So don't listen to people who have ragged on this movie it of course is not "The Wizard of Oz" but it is the coolest take I have ever seen. Though it could have been mashed into only a two hour film and I would have been happy. The one complaint I have is Kathleen Robertson left a little to be desired with her role, I think she is great but this was not really for her. Though she did OK anyway just not great, but I am really interested in what I have seen so far seeing 2-parts.
Another thing I like about this story is how the lion is not a lion but this fearful psychic creature, and how there is a spin on every character. Very intriguing program. I can see myself purchasing the DVD when it is available.
