Very pretentious, promoting highly unrealistic & redundant image of India among the international audience. Acting is hammy and actors seem to be reading out their dialogues not from the script but from the novel itself! Did not expect such a third-rate product from a director of Mira Nair's calibre, hard to believe she is the one who gave me something like Monsoon Wedding to swear by. Highly disappointed!
