Thanks Alan, like all long term rental though I'm guessing you got a very cheap price for having one so long as opposed to me just having one for the day.couldnt find one on the link you gave although I have only had a quick look.

If you email them, they may be able to give you a price or go direct to the likes of Avis/Hertz/Dollar etc. If it is only for 24 hours I still don't think it'll be that expensive.

Ok,thanks for the tips.i have one more question regarding visas if you don't mind helping.not that I'm stalking you but I read a lot of threads on here and I think it would be safe to say you are quite well travelled to put it mildly especially the U.S.we have filled in our visas paid the $14 had them accepted put down the hotel we will be staying in etc but a friend at work keeps telling me that somewhere on the application should have been a part where you fill in your flight number but for the life of me I couldn't see that part and now I'm getting worried about getting turned away at the airport or something dramatic like that.

You don't need the flight IIRC as the visa is good for 2 years, you should be able to print off your ESTA by going to the US Gov site and it tells you how to get the info.

Look half way down at the box on the right (retrieval of completed ESTA).

Ask as may questions as you want, I may not be able to answer or I'm in the desert on a job and can't answer. Enjoy your trip, I'm back out in Aug for the DefCon/Black Hat convention to party.

we have just filled out an ESTA for our Vegas trip - is that all we need to do? Or is there any other kind of VISA type thing we need to do?

Glenn01 Publish time 2-12-2019 22:29:03

just esta and make sure you passport has more than 6 months left on it - i'm sure there is an "issue" with passports which are close to their expiry date.

Vegas for me too in May so planning my own programme currently //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gif

Nope that's all you need and your customs declaration you get on the flight. I would print off the ESTA confirmation just to have it, in case TSA/HS are being dicks or stupid.

Hi,if you don't mind me asking on your esta form did you have to fill out a part about your flight numbers and such like,as a guy at work who went just before Xmas told me he had to fill a part out about his flights.i have spoke to alan28170 about it and am 99% happy it's just if you could confirm it to set me at ease please.you see we have filled in ours been accepted and that its just niggling me that we never saw a part for filling in flight numbers.

sheriffwoody Publish time 2-12-2019 22:29:05

erm, i am trying to remember but i don't think i did put my flight details down.

i definitely put down my hotel details and where we were staying - i will try and double check, but i can't recall listing flight details.
