Cool. Was you sitting near his family then? I've taken loads of pictures. The girls at Road Cycling today had the crowd worked up. I even let out an onion tear. ;-)

I got the impression that the entrances to the stadium were manned right till the end, so I doubt it

The second pic is just awesome, the people around them all have great emotional faces.

yeah, we waited no more than 15 minutes when it got busy

cheers for the info, I will definitely be queuing up then! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Unfortunately not, those are photos off Twitter and the IPC feed

Yep, all the bridges were manned on both occasions when I left the stadium, I doubt they would let someone in data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

When we were there on Saturday the queue for McDonalds seemed huge.

It snaked round and round in front of the entrance, then up to the top and then off up London way to the other side of the building as per the attached picture.I was waiting outside whilst my wife visited the loo's and there was no way that queue was only taking 15 minutes.

I took the photo because we couldn't believe people were willing to queue that long for McDonalds when there were no queues at all at other nearby concessions.

Perhaps I just happened to be there at a bad time.

Each time I joined it was at the top of the slope but then again it was at 4pm, 5.30pm and 6pm respectively but yeah during lunchtime the queue was stupidly long (I did wonder if anyone queuing knew there that there was another McDonald's near the other side of the stadium)

I've just realised that my park tickets for tomorrow might be both good and bad., bad because there'd no athletics on but good because it'll be empty and easier with my young daughter!

It left me thinking I wanted to see if we could get in to the GB 7 aside football? There isn't any tickets on the website but i noticed yesterday for the 7 aside on tv it was totally empty?!?

Does anyone have any idea what the park might be like considering there isn't any athletics on, hoping the atmosphere is still there?!?

Also (sorry for all the questions) I might suggest walking over to see a bit of the marathon if it's near by?

gamingboy Publish time 2-12-2019 21:46:26

Check on the website, as it depends on your ticket. Parts of the park will be closed off and certain gates too ready for the closing ceremony. We have closing ceremony tickets, although we can't get in until later.

Anyone going to the closing tomorrow?

GregStarz Publish time 2-12-2019 21:46:27

We can get in between 10 and 2 I think it is, just hope it's not really empty and boring

Just on my way to the park for the Wheelchair Tennis. Should be a scorcher of a day.

Where is the place with the 7 torches in relation to the main entrance near the stadium?
