I'd be surprised if they beat Ireland, but I still expect it to be a tough match. What with Irelands injuries and what not, this could be Scotlands best chance in years.

tbh i liked the look of them against Italy. The match against Ireland which always has bit of added spice to it should be very interesting.I shall be siding with the Scots if only because they will be the underdogs and in any case its about time they became resurgent again

Well, I know. And the rugby fan in me thinks it's a huge shame - 30-day ban as it turns out so he'll miss the whole remainder of the competition.

Although, on a positive note - maybe the FA & UEFA could take a leaf out of rugby's books and take similar actions against some of the players who abuse footie refs.

The amount of penalties England get really is shocking.

PU6HY Publish time 2-12-2019 21:27:32

Scrums are just an absolute farce. Ref saying he can't hear linesman either when there was a blatant penalty for France.

Dodgy try for England otherwise they wouldn't have scored one for two games (unless they get one last 10 mins). How can you basically kick your way to top of the table? Does my head in.

Thought France did well for 50 mins - then started the changes...... why on earth take Trinh Duc off???? He was playing really well. Dead right re England's dodgy try - at best it was an accidental offside, so scrum France. And Vuniploa was lucky not to get penalised & binned for knocking the ball out of Parra's hands.

Also, I noticed a few chinks in Owen Farrell's uber-cool persona. A sly elbow on Parra and a few panicky moments.

Robshaw seems to be growing in stature with every game. Ashton was poor, IMO.

Re: Italy - Wales .... Halfpenny again was magnificent, surely a cert for the Lions now? Cuthbert again did his Lions chances no harm, and Ashton's performance can only help Cuthbert into the 14 shirt.

I hope a team who kicks the tournament to death doesn't win a Grand Slam. The try was given incorrectly yesterday so that's two games without really scoring a try. It's ridiculous. If they go on and score quite a few tries in next games then fair enough but the game is getting a bit boring just seeing penalties all the time. Defences are just too good and there's not enough space on the pitch. Something needs changing IMO as I want to see tries not kicks all game.
