Seriously what the hell is a Defensive slice?
never heard of such a thing. Sounds something silly like a defensive shot on goal in football
A defensive slice allows you to float the ball back at a slower pace over the net and low to your opponents feet which then allows you to regain better court position when under pressure to receive your opponents next shot. A must have shot on grass courts....

It's murrays main tactic against the big dogs.
He's fine playing decent tennis against the no-threats. But come people who are top 5 he'll defensive slice until the attacking player takes a risk.
