Holy cow hell blade coming to VR on 31st july
Free update to all steam users. Not sure about GOG version. OMG! that is great news so i just read this is oculus touch and gamepad / KB/M only. They could not get it to work properly with the Vive wands..... Fingers crossed they will patch in knuckles controls when they launch (that is assuming knuckles dont natively support touch controls, which hopefully they will) Steam isn't showing Touch support either.STEAM VR Support: This VR game requires the use of a gamepad or a keyboard and mouse.
This game is a pass for me I just don't see the point of third person in VR although it does look well polished. i have seen a few people say that.Your choice of course but i just do not see how that game could possibly translate well to 1st person.
still different strokes and all that.Personally i want to see more third person VR games. It would be dull as dishwater if we all liked the same stuff.
things I love about it. (in principle, i have not played it yet)
it wants a GTX 1080..... I want to see what VR can really be like if you say to hell with it and throw the kitchen sink at it hardware wise.my soon to be 1180 will do nicely.
It sounds like it will be pretty disturbing in VR... in the mind of someone losing their sanity, what is not to like?
regarding touch.... its no biggie as they are supported in pad mode.mildly more immersive for sure, but we are not talking full arm tracking or anything so its no loss really so long as you have a pad..
things i do not fancy... nothing really.I must buy it, simple as that.
Exclusive: First Look at 'Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice’ VR Edition I just don't see the point of having the character in front of you obscuring your view. Shame there's no option to go first person if they eventually support hand controllers. I sort of agree, but at the same time I can see why this kind of game wouldn't really work in the first person. That jumping and fancy fighting footwork won't translate to existing VR controls very well. You'd certainly need wireless and a few extra trackers to do it properly. And a lot of yoga. Currently 14.99 Humble store for steam key:
Buy Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice from the Humble Store Third person games work VERY well in VR. Platform games such as Lucky's Tale, Chronos, Edge Of Nowhere and Moss are some of the best VR games available imo, although most of those are exclusive to the Oculus Store so perhaps Atmos hasn't played them..? And I think that they should rename the game Holy Cow Blade because that's how I read this thread title, has a nice ring to it lol
