I agree 3rd person games in VR if done well are fantastic, but not everyone agrees, opinions and assholes and all that, lets leave it at that data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

It's okay, he has me on ignore. I just posted that so that people can understand that it's unlikely he's played those games and in doing so is unaware of just how good third person games are in VR.

You'd be surprized how good it can be. Edge of nowhere is a good example. I have a friend who is super sensitive with motion sickness and she was better off with the type of view point.

I've tried Luckeys Tale but it never appealed too me. FPS are my one true love but I could play Command and Conquer style games in VR.

You're really missing out by not playing the likes of Edge Of Nowhere and Chronos. Third person action adventure games work surprisingly well. You're really missing out if you don't at least give third person games a try.
The best thing about VR is that you'll find yourself liking games that you wouldn't normally give the time of day if you were playing them flat.

You should give it a go Mike. It has the best intro I've seen so far in a VR game and the combat really is top notch.
If my broken leg didn't make it uncomfortable for me to sit up for more than half an hour or so I'd easily put in a few hours at a time playing this without a problem.
I've always liked third person action adventure games and in VR they're just crazy good.

well looking at above i bought hellblade on 1st august last year... and i finally played it tonigh. Wow! is all i can say i was convinced before that 3rd person games were a good fit for vr (after loving edge of nowhere) but this blows it out of the water and then some. its beautiful and the atmosphere is superb.I kept expecting one of the corpses in the boat ride at the start to look at me!
only 1 negative so far. the 1st 10 mins of the game is all passive.and what an introduction that would be for VR noobs.. however i cant show it to anyone as to do so would wipe my save.a spare slot would have been nice.

Yup, it's one of my favourite VR games so far. Not enough enemy variety was also a negative point for me but it really is awesome.
I think I'm going to play it again with my Rift S at some point because with the improved display and optics it should look even more stunning. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
