My mobile is used to set recordings on my freesat box, holds music which I Bluetooth to some of my speakers, controls my Sonos system, controls my hue lighting, can act as a remote for my TV.
I have no idea how you can cover AV kit and ignore mobile phones.

Maybe because it’s a thread in the mobile phone section. And phones today are very much audio / visual devices. Are you going to ask this question in the general chat section? Or the sports section?

I use my phone for all my music playback either to my Shure SE846 IEM's or KEF LSX stream capable speakers (both high-end audiophile kit). That includes 24/192 Hi-def audio tracks/streams.
I use my phone to watch videos while mobile or connect up to 4K/60Hz TV's in Hotels during business/holiday trips. Including Netflix & iPlayer or offline stored Blu-rays
How can they not be discussed on a website supposedly all about Audio/Video Home Entertainment.

Has Samsung ever created anything Apple hasn't done better in the past 20 years?
Desktop - iMac
Laptops - MacBooks
Phones - iPhones
Tablets - iPad
MP3 - Ipods
In all 5 of these tech, Apple has set new standards for the past two decades. They have revolutionised and innovated, can't say the same about any of the current technology companies.
Nokia might have produced the first touchscreen phone in the world, Sony might have created the firstMobile MP3 device in the world but Apple came and took it to the next level by innovation.
I'm sure the Samsung Buds are another one of their original inventions, then again you'll probably argue 'wireless headphones' have existed for years. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Phones are so big as it is, it wouldn't replace mini 7" tablets if phone screens are 6" already. So there isn't really a market for it.

Samsung came out with the Note. A large screen phablet.
Later copied by Apple.

Do all threads discussing mobile phones get derailed into a “Apple vs ...”? It’s all dull as dishwater and the points are donkeys years old - do we all need to be reminded of them yet again?
