Never used nova before, is it much of a learning curve to get the most out of it?

No it's pretty easy to get used to it mate. I love the customisation of it and the gestures and shortcuts make it a breeze to get to things quick.

I have a bit of google credit, might just splurge for the premium edition

Well long story short didn't get the Vodafone one he was selling it for £750 but have just got one elsewhere for £775 it's the 5G 512gb on EE which I think is a decent deal.

Sold my Note 9 128gb for £430 so all in decent price for the upgrade.

That’s cheap mate how did you blag that ?
Was it of eBay earlier on from Birmingham?

marko79 Publish time 27-11-2019 22:18:31

It was actually? just hope it arrives but I'm covered with PayPal etc anyway, it was listed at £850 he said he'd take £825 and then £50 off eBay voucher so fingers crossed it all works out, he's actually sent me the confirmation of the EE paperwork etc so hopefully it's all good.

Aye he's been ok with me but it's all good I've paid with PayPal and thought it was worth the risk, if it doesn't work out well nothing lost. Will keep you updated.

I've got mine set for highest performance level with screen on almost max. I'm out now and on the train. Surfing the net is draining the battery faster than I thought it would. I've been playing ripped blu Ray with little effect on the battery but the Internet does drain it quickly. The 8plus had a terrible battery life. The note 10 plus is much better. A full day without a charge.
No chance

After five hours use. Not continuous my phone is down from 100% to 55. I don't know who reviews these phones or if Samsung pay them
But the reviews that say you can get a days use on one without recharge is completely untrue. I've not done anything apart from maybe one hours surfing. 20 minutes talking. 30 mins video viewing and I've liar almost half the power. A phone this powerful is going to be battery hungry. I love the phone and never expected to get a day's use with recharge.
However I do expect reviewers not to lie or be in samsungs pocket
Gosh I'm naive
On my home
First time I've given this phone a proper road test
Conclusion
Battery life is awful and no better than 8plus
Blu-ray playback is phenomenon but the power hit is equal to the quality
There's no way I can get more than half a day on the battery
It's no different to the 8 plus
So in order to get longer life you reduce quality massively which negates the performance increase
Therefore this phone has a battery life no better than the 8plus. Which is awful

I'm on optimised mode and can get a full day with no problems. Lots of Internet surfing, social media, kindle reading, Netflix etc. I generally end up with about 30% battery left by the end of the evening. I use auto brightness obviously. I have zero issues with the battery on my note 10 plus.
