This is game is sooooo tense! Got 2 kills on my third match which was fun. I was lucky enough to land on the edge of the safe zone circle. I hid in an isolated hut with a crappy pistol, door closed terrified, waiting for my prey. As the zones shrank they came to my lair! Got a load of free loot then waited for the second victim! Once I had to make my move to get out I got shot as soon as I entered an open field. Loving it. Currently ranked at 909,608!! lol
Getting the hang of this now. Even in early access it's a blast. 11th has been my highest placing so far.
Not sure what I got from my first Pioneer Crate as it errored when I opened it. It may have been khaki trousers as I don't remember seeing them before but it was only one item.
From watching some of the videos, turning foilage and shadows to low and keep everything on Ultra or High seems to work well. I'll have to try that out tonight.
I tend to go to the quiet places so I'm not dead in the first 4 minutes and can usually make it into the top 40 or 50 pretty frequently. I need to be more sneaky. Playing with peoples minds with open and closed doors is fun. I've not been this excited about a game in a very long time and every match is so different. They've really hit a sweetspot and it can only get better. Prey, Doom and Wolfenstein are on the backburner.
Some of the ways I've died have had me laughing my head off. I was on a bike and hopped off near a building (not a good thing to do anyway) and as soon as I got off I was simply splatted by a full speed jeep into the building that had been following me. It was the most unexpected thing but with hindsight I should have been using my freelook. Classic!
I have been playing this to death - mainly in Duo and consistently finish top 10 - 15 with quite a few wins. Brilliant game as co-op with someone who has a microphone.
Its even better as a squad/duo.
Squads and duo is far more tactical.
Singles is about getting a rifle, helmet, armour, meds as soon as possible then hiding in the toilets near the centre until numbers thin down.
I don't think the wife would appreciate my swearing whist she's watching corrie. My PC is in the living room. Solo for me unless she's on a night out.

Me, Soni and 2 of my mates had some amazing games last night, 5 squad wins and some of them were really close, one game I ended up getting 7 kills rocking a kar98k with a 8x.
Won one squad game and came second in the one immediately after last night (well, strictly this morning as we played to 3am).
Game crashed several times though so stability not brilliant since patch.
Yeah most of us crashed several times aswell,pre patch I was crashing after most games though.
patch notes a while back said to restart client after 3 games, some issue. Keep doing just inacase its causing crashing.
Still in love with the game, 2nd place last night, pure unlucky last circle where they were in cover and we had to bolt across a field, no chance.
started playing more aggressively, heading for school roofs or jigsaw buildings. the jigsaws are my fave, 1 staircase to defend and can shoot from roof. as a squad its great.
