John Bodin does some great mods too. What I like is that his stuff is plug and play. He's making a pneumatic clutch mod atm which I'm following with great interest, even though I never use the clutch pedal lol

His Load Cell break mod is great:

Not cheap though, is it?

Have had my csr elite for a year now and its still my pride and joy data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Club sport pedals are still going strong too I have had them for 2 years now with daily use, although sometimes the break squeaks but a bit of wd40 fixes that.

I do love fanatec stuff although their current shifters cheaply made. Don't get me started on the table clamp lol

A cheap mod I've done so that I can use my 7" tablet as a dash using the Dashmeter Pro app on Android:

                                                                                                                                        /proxy.php?image=http://i764.photobucket.com/albums/xx282/Jamezinho/P1010444_zpse607fab1.jpg&hash=e4a77b5c31a09cbbc116a1013ad18a3c

                                                                                                                                        /proxy.php?image=http://i764.photobucket.com/albums/xx282/Jamezinho/P1010451_zpsb7260df0.jpg&hash=c69a00793b7973c408b3e4a08ab92979

It wobbles about a little so I may look into securing it better but other than that it's quite effective. I like to get as much clutter off the screen so this helps keep all the race info on the virtual dash.

Nice work mate data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
When I was using a digi dash I had it on a 'bendy' type stalk and it used to vibrate a bit when the FFB started to kick in...it was great cos it added to the feel data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Yes it's not all bad actually. The screen bouncing around a little has the effect of making it feel more real.

Never seen those before, looks cool. Does it work with every racing game or only specific ones?

Jamezinho Publish time 27-11-2019 05:38:20

I can only speak for Dashmeter Pro as it's all I've used but the one I have is for all rFactor based games, so rF1, rF2, Game Stock Car and Formula Truck. It's not universal for all games. They sell separate versions for the likes of iRacing and GTR Evo.

There are other similar apps for IOS and Android but I really like Dashmeter Pro as it offers full layout customisation.

Hey guys, I'm new to PC racing having only ever done it on consoles and honestly, I have no idea where to look. Which games do you all play?

I prefer the Forza kind of experience:

Simulation but scalable and good progression/gaming features.

So far rFactor is looking like the main one, but I really have no clue.

Sega Mega Dave Publish time 27-11-2019 05:38:22

rFactor is nothing like Forza.

There is no story too it, it's literally just jump in and race unless it's changed of late.

Also it's proper sim racing so won't handle like Forza.
