Well, its a different ball game in real life. I think its easier in fact.In real life you try and make sure that the place you are trying to reverse into is on right of directly behind you.You then turn slightly to the left to put the 'bend' on the trailer and either and then turn to the right when you have bent enough you turn right and guide it in.
Its strange trying to explain that.
In the game I generally use the mirrors or overhead view.The physics in the game are very good and I can actually reverse just using the mirrors as you would in real life !

I finally managed to park my lorry last night, only took an hour! lol I wasn't counter steering so I know where I was going wrong now!

I bought that Heavy Load DLC yesterday and after I downloaded and installed it yesterday I noticed that I didn't have any jobs available. So started looking online for a solution and there is one, but it didn't work for me. So I deleted all the mods I had installed, switched the game on and not only all the jobs are back, but also noticed how much better the game works. The controls are better (I play on keyboard and it is much smoother now), the cabin moves much less than before (it was too much before) and it generally works smoother/better.
Only downside is it looks a bit worse (not much though) and I don't get all the fancy trailers and real company names, but I will gradually reintroduce them.
Moral of the story: it's worth to disable mods from time to time to see it the game was improved by devs in the meantime data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Lol out of curiosity how close is the experience ? Is reversing in the game assuming you don't cheat with 3rd person view anything like compatible?

I played this in the rift. I think it will be ace in cv1 but IMO res is still too low in dk2 for this game. Tracking works really well tho and the potential is clear
