Good choice on the ranger, they are fun to play but can get a bit squishy if you don't invest in some life nodes. Are you following a guide that someone has created or are you just making your own way through the skill tree?

I'm not following any guides but I havnt looked properly yet, ive got tomorrow off work so will have a look then.

thanks for accepting, if youre around I might send you a few messages on steam if its not a problem.

I'm looking forward to having a real go tomorrowdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Nice one! Not a bother at all.I think I will be around tonight and may squeeze a cheeky 30 mins during my working day data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7. I'm currently having a blast with a Summon Raging Spirits Witch using Zombies and Spectres as meat shields. Really good fun.

I'm really liking The Awakening, got a 92 Cycloner on Warbands, made a Flame Totem character in Tempest purely for the challenge, RIP'ed it at level 70 due to being dumb so have re-rolled her to try and finish the challenge (40/50 atm), she's 54 right now so I need to level some more before I can complete the challenge data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Gratz on your 92 in Warbands!

I had a very nice heavy strike/ground slam Marauder but RIP'ed due to my own dumbness in his late 50s. It seems that cycloners are the way to go and I've got a pretty tasty axe in my stash so I may try again.

At the moment I'm running a Flame Totem Marauder. Got to level 69 last night and just started to do 68 maps. Map drops do seem to have increased in 2.0 which is handy. Not sure if I can bothered to run through Act4 again with him but doing Dried Lake runs provides nice loot.

Also got a 45 SRS Witch (which now has a 17% quality Spell Echo) that I also need to fit with Generosity and Anger auras to make it truly shine.I seem to spend more time making new toons than progressing deep into end game as I've also got a physical crit Ranger at 28 ready to make progress!

Awakening is a good update but I feel that the later areas of Act 4 are a bit lazy. It starts off great but gets a bit annoying! The Malachi fight is tough but it gets confusing as there's so much stuff going on.

Thanks dude! It's my second 92 character, I have a 92 Arc witch from the last league which is my main in standard league data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 You sound a bit like an alt-oholic? Lol. Dried lake is great for XP Farming, you can do it well into the 70's before you hit the XP penalty, safe way to enter maps especially if you're playing in hardcore. Map drops were actually nerfed on 2.0, but have since been buffed (the curve from 74-79 I think it was) in a recent patch which helps a bit!

Edit - Cyclone is great fun, it's my first Marauder and he's ace! You should give it a try, I can hook you up to a build guide from the PoE forums if you ever fancy it data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Oh, I can make another alt! Was this Etups Cycloner build that you used as I think this was the first character on Tempest to hit 100? My Ground Slammer was pretty much similar in terms of passive skill tree as I had a Geoffries but had no decent axes so from level 24 I stuck with Ground Slam instead.

To be fair I've never made a cycloner and I've got some useful beginner gear.Look what you've started........ data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I wasn't using Etup's build (since it's for Hardcore), I was using Lighty's, which can be found here. Great build and he replies to all questions in the thread (I've asked him a fair few) data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

It was all going so well....

Had a Limbsplit in my stash so from Level 13 onwards it was a walk/run in the park. So much so I managed 2 levels of Cyclone fun and hit level 30. I was pretty much untouchable and was Cycloning my way through Lunaris 2 swigging a can of stella in one hand and and right clicking away with the other such was my confidence. I hit a pack of those ladies that fire things rapidly (not using the common name here) that were firing even more rapidly due to the mod on the boss of the pack and I RIP'd before I could put my beer down!

Lesson learnt. You'd think after all these years of playing hardcore modes that I would have understood never to get complacent ever but the power of Stella made me think otherwise.

From the limited time I had it was fun. I will rebuild. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
