Its unbelievable how tiny these actually are in the flesh, even after looking at the pics, videos and promos nothing quite prepares you for the minuscule NES that you hold in your paws.

Here's hoping they take note of the hype and create a mini SNES as it would be so awesome to replay some of the classics on "proper" hardware via HDMI and a genuine controller. Licensing would be a bit of a beyotch with some of the older titles though plus the library is so immense that picking 30 titles to please everyone would be a bit of a challenge.

I'd be straight in for a Super NES version. It was my first home console, though gaming started on a ZX Spectrum and then a Game Boy. Never had a NES and only one of my friends did so I have no real fond memories of it.

The thought of Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger as well as the Nintendo games on a bigger (and flatter) TV... It'd be great. And I can't imagine they won't do it if this is a success.

It'd have to be the PAL/Super Famicom version, though. Don't want any of that purple or the hard angles of the US version.

Anyone found where to get the 10ft cable in the U.K?

Such a pain to have less than a 1 metre cable!

Well chuffed with mine. Sadly leaving it boxed until Christmas Day.

Amazed at how small it is, just need some controller extensions and a 3 meter HDMI and will be able to play from my sofa data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

It made me laugh that someone pulled one apart already and it's just a Linux PC with an emulator. So Nintendo do it the same way that everybody else already did.

A SNES one would be cool, it would be nice if they'd included WiFi or mini cartridges to add a few extra games from the virtual console or shops.

It was stated at some point that the emulator used was open source and that pointed toward a Linux distro, do you have a link to the info please?

Emulator or no the "realness" of it with the controller, hardware, presentation etc is a great way to update old fun for modern times. SNES one would be superb, especially with a storefront option to download what you want with online multiplayer.

It's a brand new emulator by NERD, isn't it?
