the functionality your describing is already available with a ps3. plays p1 games with ps1 games on the store
it still surprises me theres not ps1 games available to buy on ps4
No network access on the mini SNES or nes but with those consoles (well actually any Nintendo console) many of the best games were developed by Nintendo themselves so are built into consoles.
Ps1’s best games came from all over the place so would be nice so have ability so add games if built in selection isn’t up to scratch.
My ps3 is long gone now and don’t really want to go back..........

The price seems way too high for this. It needs Metal Ger Solid, Crash Bandicoot or Resident Evil games on it, I doubt it will have any of those.
Can see MGS or RE might make it actually. Crash no as there really is little point with the enhanced trilogy not long being released. But Crash was a huge console seller.
I pre-ordered, but quite prepared to cancel if the games are not to my liking. However, it might also be hacked and I guess thats the end of that discussion.

Ordered and fingers crossed they add it but I won't get my hopes up.
It’s probably 99% certain to be on it seeing as it’s one of only a couple of 1st party Sony developed games on the PlayStation.
They've missed out the most important aspect of this machine! What resolution and what upscaling it will have.......No one is gonna want that low res crap stretched across a 4K screen, it has to include integer scaling, or a nice 1080p upscale, 720p minimum.
