What's wrong with me ?

If you bothererd to keep up, no one is suggesting that anyone is injecting nicotine; I mention it purely as a response to the question about how dangerous nicotine is.

There seems to be a lot of people in denial here, claiming that they have "given up" smoking just because they have switched their nicotine delivery device from a cigarette to an e cig, which they believe is harmless.

That would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

All I'm saying is wake up guys and stop conning yourself; you are still addicted to a highly poisonous substance.

Iccz Publish time 26-11-2019 21:04:02

I tend to agree with what you say, it's just often your delivery that causes the issue data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

E-cigs may well be better than smoking, but it's not as good as giving up totally.

We get the picture, unless you have anything helpful to offer can you stop repeating that in this thread? It almost seems like you're only posting certain things for reaction...

I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to eliminate smoking tobacco and just settlehalf way with e-cigs or similar, at least it's an improvement and possibly a step in the right direction. Why does it bother you so much that people use these products?

This is a "Stop Smoking Thread"

So, I'm posting about about how to stop smoking //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/facepalm.gif

But I have kept up, you're comparing apples to oranges - It's like saying how dangerous is a car? Well if it hits you at 50mph, I guess it would be fatal.

But they have given up 'smoking' you've been told time and time again that what they are doing isn't smoking nor does what they're doing fit the definition of smoking.

Is the e-cig dangerous? You got some medical proven facts on it from credible sources that we can all read? I want to see how you're making this leap to 'highly poisonous' with the discussed delivery system and the amount absorbed at any one time.

I don't think anyone here is denying their addicted to nicotine either, so how exactly are they conning themselves?

I know it's a stop smoking/why don't you stop smoking thread.

But the way you're posting isn't really helpful is it? The analogies of injecting nicotine etc, asking people what is wrong with them, it just seems like your posts are put out in a way to get reactions from people, borderline on trolling, and it's certainly getting reactions from some people. All I'm saying is, try to be more helpful rather than provocative, otherwise this is a pointless thread, that is going nowhere.

He is trolling. Nothing borderline about it. He's in danger of totally disappearing up his own arsehole.

Nicotine is toxic I mean it used to be used as a pesticide and yeah injecting the nicotine content of a single cigarette (10-25 milligrams) might kill you (lethal dose 0.5 to 1 milligram per kg) if you are small, like a child.

A cigarette contains anywhere from 10 milligrams to 25 milligrams depending on the brand.

Smoking a cigarette results in inhaling aproximately 1 to 2 milligrams.

The mean lethal dose for adults is 0.5 to 1 milligram per kg.
30 to 60 miligrams can be a lethal dose for a adult.
10 miligrams can be a lethal dose for a child.
The elimination half-life averages 2 hours

But the fact it can be lethal in large doses does not mean long term exposure to small doses is inherently harmful.

For example having a diet that contains potatoes has been linked to lower risk of cardiovascular problems, due to potatoes nicotine content.
