Sorry I meant to say your body doesn't get a chance to burn it off through activity especially if you sleep straight after. This is what most ive been told by my PT so maybe its rubbish to you but not to others.Like i said only you know how your body works

If you have exercised during the day then your body will need to replace glycogen (which it can do from the carbs or other food you eat). So just because you eat carbs and then rest does not mean this goes to fat. Weight loss is a very simple formula of inputs and outputs. Put more in that you burn then you will gain weight and vice versa. There may be some subtle differences with metabolic rates etc. but the equation still stands. The time you eat etc. has very little bearing on that. If your PT is telling you this kind of stuff then not sure I would put a lot of faith in them.
This time thing has nothing to do with your body but everything to do with your mind. Setting time limits on when to eat limits the time you can eat so can help people who can not control how much they eat. If you can get your mind around the amount you can eat in a day then does not matter when you eat it.
There is a lot of rubbish out there about weight loss and diets etc. which is purely out there to sell books/make money. Weight control is an easy concept although the mental side of it to implement it can be a lot harder.

There is some logic to not eating too late but it probably applies more to people who don't exercise a lot, rather than someone who has hit the gym and needs to top up glycogen etc.Type 2 diabetics for example are encouraged to eat early rather than late to give themselves some chance of burning off a few calories before going to bed data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7. I can see how this sort of advice may have been picked up and applied erroneously to people who are training/exercising hard.
