That's not a very nice thing to say about your wife.

Point taken, and quite amusing but wholly inaccurate...I meant the bill, and no she doesn't have a face like a duck. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

£11 was the question, not plus whatever is in the cupboard, the cupboard could have all manner of goodies inside.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Is this £11 for 4 days until payday?
or £11 every 4 days for the foreseeable future?

If you go to tesco you can more than aweeks worth of food for that
Tesco Tinned Spaghetti get 2 tins
Tesco Everyday Value Spaghetti In Tomato Sauce 410G - Groceries - Tesco Groceries
23 pence per tin total 46 pence
Tesco Peas
21 pence per tin get two tins total 42 pence
Tesco Everyday Value Garden Peas In Water 300G - Groceries - Tesco Groceries
Tesco 1.5 KG Bag of Chips
http://www.avforums.com/forums/Tesco Everyday Value Oven Chips 1.5Kg82 pence
Total £1.70 for four days or you can buy a big bag of pasta for an extra £1 and have pasta on the odd few days
Or you can improvise and get tescos tin carrots, sweetcorn, etc instead of having spaghetti or peas for two days straight wouldn't cost you over £2
And if you could even get a drink with that as for an entire two weeks if you buy tescos branded drinks. Which at most would hit £4

Was the OP an effort to gain a silent victory against the wife?

I lived on this for months when I was broke
Heinz Baked Bean In Tomato Sauce 415G - Groceries - Tesco Groceries
add different vegtables and spices to make it taste a bit different each day.
Usually the main meal of the day was 2 cans of baked beans 1 fried onion pepper oregano for me (I'm a big guy) sometimes (if I could afford it) one or two fried frankfurters. If I felt really posh that day I would add a slice of cheese to the pan to melt it together with all the other goodies.
Disclaimer: A can of baked beans was around £0.30-0.40 then and everything else was much cheaper than now. I was usually buying an 'out-of-date' bread that was only few pence (sometimes for free). I was working! (I'm sure I'd be better off on JSA and other benefits)

Marmite and toast with a couple of eggs at the weekend. I lived on that for months when I was on the dole.
