Good thing about the myprotein site is all the honest reviews, I always base my purchases with people with the same goals. Reviews on both are very good, especially with the 'Impact whey Protein', where it has over 7000 reviews.
I am like you where I can eat a whole cake for 4 people and still not gain weight. Good thing is that once you start training again you will start seeing almost instant results.

Don't get too OCD about it, just eat approx 1.4 grams per kg of lean muscle mass.

My protein looks a good choice.

Too much emphasis is put on protein for building muscle. I've just spent the weekend with the BNBF guys and all the top pros there have a high carb, moderate protein and low fat diet.

Oh no, don't confuse me!! I'm just trying work out my new food plan, and I really struggle to make high-2000s calories per day (without including the like of doughnuts!).
Filling my day out with shakes just to make up the cals, just so I can put on a meagre 1 pound a week!...and now you're telling me I don't need (as) much protein!! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
Mind you, you're talking about already-big guys. Their needs and goals I'm sure are vastly different to the needs of me.
This is my one struggle with the training...I'm just not a big eater.
I'll be looking for help on this. I'll be posting on the same in my other thread.

Eating is something you need to practice like everything else, for the first 2-3 weeks it'll be hard to force all the food in but as your body adapts it'll get easier. I'm the other way round and have to curb my eating, although I do go mental every couple of weeks and eat until I can't fit any more in!

Yeah, makes sense. And I suppose the more I train, the more of an appetite I'll have.
I'm finding this article interesting.
The Best Bodybuilding Diet for Lean Muscle Gains
I do need to work out how much prots/carbs/fats/cals I need. I think I'm probably way over-doing it on the protein.

If you eat plenty of EFAs such as fish then, I have read, they help reduce protein breakdown meaning you dont then need to eat as much protein in the first place. If I find the reference I will post it but for longer than we have had food sciences strongmen have eaten lots of fish so fish are your friends (so kill them and eat them).
