Nice!!, but I hope you're not storing them on the windowsill? The bright light won't do it much good data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

No, that was just for the pic. Corner of a bedroom with a towel over them.

Mines just in the side in the kitchen, no direct sunlight. Why/is it best to cover them?

hyperfish Publish time 26-11-2019 04:41:26

I'm not sure if there's any benefit other than discolouration from direct sunlight as IG suggests.

Previously I kept them in the utility room which is quite cool, I thought I'd do something different this time and keep them in the back bedroom/wife's sewing room which is a a bit warmer. Throwing a towel over them just keeps them out of sight in my case that's all.

Pulled from a wine storage site:

Just keep them out of any sunlight, don't worry about a bit of light in the house.

Cheers!I knew that with wine but wondered whether light would sloe down sloe goodness making it into my gin.

Decanted a litre which leave one more infusing in the spare bedroom.

Christmassy photo attempt.
