On what basis did you make calculations?
Did you account for the different number of hours each light might be on?
For example, I replaced our porch light with LEDs some time ago because it is on for several hours most days, and so the ROI on a couple of £9 LED bulbs seems clear.
However, in our bedroom that has 6x50w halogen downlighters, even though I know I might save some electricity replacing them with LEDs, as they are on only a max of 1hr a day, it will take several years to see a ROI on a6x£9investment in LEDs.
Do I have the correct formula?
(watts x hours per day x 365)/1000 xcost per KWh
So for my bedroom
300w (6x50w) x 1 x 365 / 1000 =109.50 x 0.12p (uk average) = £13p a year electricity
Compared with £0.79p if I used 3w LED.
So, it is going to be 5-6 years before any ROI.
Whereas for the porch I calculate I would see an ROI in just one year.
Sorry been busy. I'd guess your calculations are more accurate as I was using the websites built in calculator.
As for roi for our home the time length doesn't matter to much as we arnt ones to change the light fixtures every year. Also a lot of the lights we purchased were for downstairs where most of the lighting is which tend to be on for about 8 hrs a day give or take. Sometimes more if they get forgot on. Plus one of the main draws to led lighting was the instant on, no waiting for them to warn up.
To anyone wanting to install new fittings I can recommend either the Halers evo led or the JCC led 7. These are by far superior to those lamp replacements that can be had. Trouble is they are about £40 a pop but should last a lifetime which is nice! Installed loads and never had a problem with one which is a breath of fresh air I can tell you!

We're gradually replacing our 12v ceiling lights (and those stupid transformers) with GU10 LEDs.
The ROI was in terms of the electricity saved, not the cost of replacing the bulbs
