I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but do bear in mind that some LED bulbs create large amounts of RF interference- while others are properly designed with good suppression and filtering included.
Interesting video on the subject here :

Interesting, I just took an AM radio for a tour around the house. The LEDs did indeed produce a slight hum when I placed the radio right next to them, but it was very localised. However a compact fluorescent was a bit worse, but nothing like what happened when I got anywhere near my wireless router data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Then you sound to have decently supressed ones - good news for you.

I've just ordered a pack of these (in Warm White) and I'll post back when I get them. I need another couple of packs as well, but didn't want to go the whole way in case they're garbage.

And I've just ordered these, in MR16 format, so will report back also data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Well, they arrived and I'm pleasantly surprised. I actually didn't realise that they had yellow dots on the surface - is that the 'warm white'?
Anyway they look fine.
Size - identical to my standard GU10's.
Light - well, it's bright outside at the moment, but these definitely seem brighter than the halogens. I would say 20% brighter. I wouldn't class the light as warm though. It's whiter than the halogens.
On the basis of these, I'll go ahead and complete the room with them - another 10 will allow me to finish the kitchen and the downstairs loo, with one spare. Of course reliability will be the key, so I'll report back in a couple of months.

No, they're the SMD's - Surface Mounted Diodes.

My MR16s Arrived. As Phil found, mine are a very white warm white. But warmer than the daylight ones in the kitchen.Recommended data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Aah. Thanks! Might teach me to do a bit more research next time I buy something on a whim!
Anyway, we're happy with them and another 10 are on order.
And thanks IG - we also need some MR16's for the main bathroom so I'll get some of them at some point.

I must admit, the first time I used them I didn't like the look of them and just waited for a customer to complain.
Since then I've replaced all but the four 50W halogens I have in the kitchen at home with them and don't really notice their appearance any more. Then again, why would I wander about looking at the ceiling!
