That's fantastic mate. My 3.6kw system has generated over 12200 units but that's over 3 years so you have done really well.

Getting my panels fitted today and you can just tell by the weather. Yesterday clear blue skies and sun, today heavy rain. Do feel for the guys fitting them as must be soaked through!!!!
It also means I have now most likely killed off any hope of a good summer on Gower at least!!!!!
Looking forward to seeing what I generate over the next few months.
Quick question: How do the electric company etc. know how much I have generated and how much has gone back into the grid if I do not use it in the house? Is it just off reading I give from my system?

They don't they just give you 50% of what's produced whatever you use is irrelevant.

As SteveCritten says, the export is currently unmetered so nobody knows what you actually export (unless you have a smart meter). So under the FIT scheme the assumption is that 50% of your PV generation is exported and is paid for on that basis (whether or not you actually export anything at all!).

Thanks! I was only expecting an annual yield of about 5500 kWh, so the 6600 kWh was a good result.
