Widely ridiculed but often paraded on TV, "Anjem Choudary".
You're aware no-one takes him seriously anymore?

The worry is it isn't no-one, many incidents, the Muslim patrol and the murdering of Lee Rigby are both directly linked to him, they were 'former' students of his.

Yeah, but apart from that, noone listens to him.

When you say that no-one takes Choudary seriously anymore, who are you referring to?

People who are responsible for tackling Islamist extremism in our communities.
He's the muslim Katie Hopkins. You wouldn't involve Nick Griffin in a sensible discussion of immigration, Anjem Choudary shouldn't be involved when discussing Islam or Muslims. The media love to find a bogeyman and they especially like wheeling out radical Muslims to give opinions that they know are not held by the majority of British Muslims.

The difference is neither Katie nor Griffin have the effect his supporters have on innocent members of the public, there are no Anti Muslim patrol areas, nor people being beheaded by either of them or people they are involved with.
Simply saying no one takes him seriously, is simply not taking the situation seriously.

He still has plenty of followers who will blindly follow him into oblivion, if he asked them....

Actually on a second reading that is rather worrying, if the (muslim) people who are tackling extremism aren't taking serious the most public face of that extremism, what are they taking seriously?
Sounds like fingers in ears, sweep it under the carpet, see no evil, hear no evil bull. But maybe I'm reading more into your post then you meant.

Michael Adebolaje was radicalised long before video emerged of him standing behind Anjem Choudary at a rally. His parents were Jehovah's Witness.
