The preamble to the real negotiations will continue, nothing much is going to happen until after the German Elections (unless events decide otherwise). So it's an ideal time to hold a snap election in the UK.
Depends on how it shakes out for May i.e. swings the balance of power on the backbenches to her and not the hard Brexiteer wing of the Party. Plus the electoral fraud allegations may have had some sway on her decision to go for an election early. Decisions about that are due at the end of May to Early June. Pure Political Comedy - Tory MP's and election agents fighting for electoral victory whilst also maybe facing a special Election Court over the 2015 election.
There is always a chance a Government of the day could lose an election, 6 weeks is a long time in political terms. I will add I expect the Tories will win a large majority, but probably not as big as the one Blair won in '97.
Depends if they toe the line of the Commons or rebel. In which case we are either looking at the Tories stuffing the Lords with new peers to get a majority, abolishment of the Lords or fundamental reform ending with an elected upper chamber of some form.
That's if there is a Labour Party left to lead....
I suspect we are going to see some really unexpected and odd results that will hinge on the distribution of remain and leave voters.
Polls can and have been wrong before. We simply do not know at this stage if it'll be a landslide as the polls suggest or if the General Election will reflect a nation that is utterly divided over Brexit. That's the central gamble May is taking - She thinks the country outside of Westminster is coming together on Brexit. When nobody really knows what the answer to that actually is.
I'll go further - Have we coalesced around a Hard Brexit or a Soft Brexit ? Or still remain at logger heads over it. This General Election could very well turn into version 2 of the EU vote. For a Political nerd like me, that is most exciting.

This isn't going to be a General but a Brexit Election & I can see the Remain voters looking to strategically put in Labour (even with Corbyn!) or Lib Dems for a term to cancel/mitigate Brexit. Maybe a question of where non ardent Ukippers fall back to...?

Ordinarily I don't vote, as I'm in one of the safest Labour seats. This will be compounded further by having no one worth voting for at all this time round. Although with labour being poison now, I may be persuaded if there's an inkling the constituency is up for grabs.
I have no idea who is going to run, so undecided. I no longer go down the party line and just vote for the candidate that will best represent us locally. Having said that all recent candidates have been poor and frankly not worth voting for.

We have one of those extremely rare, almost extinct species here in West Wales. A Lib Dem MP. I have voted for him for the last 2 general elections - but only because it's always a two horse race between Plaid Cymru and and the Lib Dems.
I think we've had enough jingoistic isolationism to last a lifetime, so I'd rather remove my eyes with rusty spoons than vote for a Nationalist.
Not much choice otherwise - During the last election our Labour candidate had previously stated that Non Welsh Speakers should pay higher council tax than Welsh Speakers in the same area, and he would happily damage the cars of anybody flying an England flag during the World Cup. Amazingly, he still managed to increase his share of the vote by nearly 4% to 9.7% and get 5th place.
So through gritted teeth, I think I'll be voting Lib Dem again.
To be fair, he's a pretty reasonable MP.... if I say it enough times, I might even believe it to the point where I can rationalise my decision.
