I see the Heathrow expansion is a likely casualty of Brexit:
Airports Expansion Decision Delayed Again

Clearly some will be happy about it, others won't. I suppose being pragmatic about it, it could be argued it is now not required - as our economy contracts following the Brexit and some firms shift to Europe, the need for central UK airport capacity will decline, at least in the short-medium term.

As our economy contracts?

Even the doom laden treasury forecast had our economy growing by 29% by 2030.

Maybe by 2020... then Boris will return and we will get a proper new airport, rather than a patchwork of extensions that is Heathrow.

Aye.Thought Boris Island might be back on the agenda again but alas, more dithering for months/years to come no doubt.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

A national disgrace.

By the looks/sounds of things, it'll favour Heathrow.

Perhaps they'll give the go ahead to both. They might as well look further than then end of their parliament for oncedata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

No matter what, the cost/timescales involved though are hideous.

China will probably have humans living on Mars before any runway is laid.

Airports expansion decision 'next year' - BBC News

A final decision on whether to expand Heathrow or Gatwick will not be taken for another year, it has emerged.

Prime Minister Theresa May has told Cabinet colleagues in a letter that a ruling would be made in the winter of 2017-18.

A Cabinet sub-committee will reveal its preferred option next week and a "full and fair" public consultation will follow.

Expanding Heathrow has been strongly opposed by some cabinet ministers.

After next week's meeting, ministers will be allowed to make their own views known in a break with convention.

Just another year then.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

And then it'll be after the next parliament.

By the time we build another runway, other countries will be building space ports//static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/facepalm.gif

Submarine Mayhem, indecisive and dithering for the next couple of years, well for the people of West London and N West Surrey, looks like Boris price for letting Will Waldengo is freedom to speak against Heathrow.
Heathrow: Theresa May will not make final decision for at least a year while allowing Boris Johnson to speak out against third runway
